The 101st Airborne Division, nicknamed the "Screaming Eagles" for their division insignia, is a modular airborne infantry division of the United States Army. The 101st was one of several divisions that parachuted into France prior to Operation "Overlord", or D-Day on June 6th, 1944.

Call of DutyEdit

In Call of Duty, the player assumes the role of Pvt. Martin, a member of the 101st Airborne Pathfinders, and parachutes into Normandy, just before the invasion. The player fights with the 101st through the battle of Sainte-Mère-Église, Brécourt Manor and Bastogne. The player is a part of Baker Company, along with helpers from the 82nd Airborne Division.

Call of Duty: Black OpsEdit

While they aren't seen in game, Intel from the mission "S.O.G." states that Jason Hudson was part of the division. It is stated that he was honorably discharged in 1955.


  • Pvt. Elder trained with the 101st in Camp Toccoa, however he is in the 82nd Airborne Division.
